Bird Outings: Canyon Trail in the Morning

Tuesday, June 18, 2019,   8 a.m.

Meet near First Dam Pavilion

Ahoy Birders!

The first in a series of birding field trips led by Joe Andreasen will be held June 18th at      8 a.m. We will be meeting near the pavilion at First Dam and heading down the Canyon Road Trail. This an easy trail that is paved at the start and transitions into a well-maintained dirt trail. There is plenty of opportunity to see finches, warblers, towhees, etc.

All of these Bird Outings are going to have a target bird that we can watch out for as a team. It will give us a goal to work toward and something to keep us sharp. If we don’t find the target bird it isn’t a big deal, but if we do it may be cause for a little victory jig. This Bird Outing’s Target Bird will be the MacGillivray’s Warbler!

Meet us there and be ready to see some birds!

Back to First Dam around 9 or 9:30
