Our next ECSS Speaker is Dr. Peter Marra
Cat Wars: The Devastating Consequences of a Cuddly Killer!  USU Ecology Center: Dr. Peter Marra, March 24th and 25th, 2021 4-5 PM

The Ecology Center is excited to announce our upcoming seminar with Dr. Peter Marra. Dr. Marra is currently the director of the Georgetown Environment Initiative, Laudato Si’ Professor in Biology and the Environment, and Professor in the McCourt School of Public Policy. Before Georgetown, he had a 20-year career at the Smithsonian Institution, most recently as Director of the Migratory Bird Center. He has a Ph.D. from Dartmouth College and has authored over 225 papers published in journals such as Science, Nature, and Conservation Biology on various aspects of the biology and conservation of birds and other animals, as well as on topics as broad as urban disease ecology. Dr. Marra has founded several large research and communication initiatives, including Neighborhood Nestwatch, The Migratory Connectivity Project, and the Animal Mortality and Monitoring Program.

Dr. Marra’s seminars will be from 4-5PM MST on both Wednesday, March 24, and Thursday, March 25.
