Is Bridgerland Audubon Society a chapter of the National Audubon Society?
Yes! The Bridgerland Audubon Society is an independent 501(C)3 Public Charity and a certified chapter of the National Audubon Society.

 
 

Can the Bridgerland Audubon Society sell products for private parties?
In as much as the sales promote the non-profit mission of Bridgeland Audubon Society, and the activities and earnings are compliant with IRS guidelines, Bridgerland Audubon Society may sell products. However, selling third-party products on behalf of another entity does not comply with IRS and Utah State guidelines.

Following this guidance, Bridgerland Audubon Society cross-links to individuals and organizations who provide images or content for our websites, publications and programs. We do not endorse individuals and organizations, but thank them for their gracious contribution(s) to our organization and our mission statement: “Protecting the nature of Utah for people and wildlife.”
As such, we do not accept unsolicited material for publication on our websites. We retain full editorial control of Bridgerland Audubon.org and LoganCanyonHiking.com. We share control of WildAboutUtah.org with the authors, who graciously provide content and at times images and Utah Public Radio, the audio copyright holder.

 
 

Can the Bridgerland Audubon Society participate in political activities?
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.”

Bridgerland Audubon encourages participation in political activities through support of forums and discussions. However, Bridgerland Audubon does not promote an agenda, encouraging our members and citizens in the community to vote, making decisions based on their own knowledge and judgement.
