Grants Received Through Audubon, RAPZ, TNC and other Organizations:
- 2024 Utah Children’s Outdoor Recreation and Education (UCORE) Grants
- The Bridgerland Audubon Society partnered with Edith Bowen Laboratory School(EBLS) for the successful Utah Outdoor Children’s Outdoor Recreation Grant (UCORE), providing high quality binoculars for Backyard Birding for EBLS as well as five pairs of binoculars and harnesses for five Logan Library Disc Golf Birding Backpacks.
Bridgerland Audubon provided cash and birding expertise through Naturalist Jack Greene leading several field trips with the EBLS class.
Work continues with the Logan Library binocular/disc golf backpacks. The disc golf course construction is scheduled to begin this summer. Bridgerland Audubon will assist with tee-hole signage referring to the adjacent wetlands flora and fauna (keystone plants, birds, insects) - 2023 Great Salt Lake Audubon/Bridgerland Audubon, Making Waves for Great Salt Lake Artist Collaborative School Resources & Media Awareness Campaign
- Great Salt Lake Audubon provided $2000 funding and Bridgerland Audubon matched to support efforts of the Making Waves for Great Salt Lake Artist Collaborative. Templates and art kits were provided to schools to build brine shrimp, brine flies and eared grebes; life dependent on a healthy Great Salt Lake. Completed artwork was shown at a rally on the steps of the Utah State Capital. Funds also supported other awareness-generating gatherings of the collaborative.
