The Barren Company is a private hunting club that owns property just north of Bridgerland Audubon’s Amalga Barrens Sanctuary. It is a managed wetland used by members and their guests during season. Several members own shares or “guns” in the organization. Bridgerland Audubon holds shares due to a generous donation by Bryan Dixon and Jean Lown. Our aim is to work cooperatively with adjacent landowners to preserve the ability of this wetland to support wildlife production. Entry is allowed only with permission from management.
