This month we will be visiting the Bear River migratory bird refuge in Brigham City. This outing will be primarily driving, with a few stops along the way to get out to better observe the birds. We will meet at The Smith’s marketplace on 700 North at 7:00 a.m. for carpooling. Carpooling is strongly encouraged for this outing as we are limited on radios to communicate between cars what birds we are seeing and where.

This time of year we should expect to see migratory shorebirds and ducks flying south for the start of their fall migration pathway. We can also expect to see Cranes, Herons, Egrets, Gulls, Hawks and Songbirds.

Through our great volunteers, Bridgerland Audubon Society has scheduled monthly field trips. For these trips, we will meet to carpool from the SW corner of the Smith’s Marketplace at 750 N Main Street in Logan.
