This all-ages experience invites participants to slow down, observe the natural world, and record their discoveries in a way meaningful to them. Please bring your own sketchbook, journal, or blank pages to draw on, as well as a pencil, pen or other writing/drawing utensils. Colored pencils and paints such as watercolors are optional, but welcome if you choose to bring them.
Nature journaling is the practice of observing and documenting the natural world using a combination of notes, sketches, questions, and reflections. While drawing can be part of the process, it doesn’t have to be art-focused, writing, simple diagrams, and curiosity-driven observations are just as valuable.
Event leader: Dawn Holzer (435-799-1991)

Participation may require walking and observing within the park on and off-trail in grass, gravel, mulch and soil covered surfaces. You may bring folding chairs or use benches or tables available within the park.
